Who makes a real blog in 202X?
- Someone said something about the perception of Madoka Magica as it was airing which didn’t sound right to me as someone who watched it as it came out. But when I went to try and verify what had actually happened in 2011, I found that the vast majority of discussion was no longer around. The only thing that remained were a few WordPress blogs.
- I was planning a backpacking trip and wanting to see how other people did it and what the trail conditions were. However, when googling, the majority of reports were over 10 years old and prior to 2012. This makes sense because I think around 2012 is when Facebook really started to eat personal blogs.
- I was looking around for some vegan bento ideas. Again, the majority of results were well over 10 years old. What happened to these blogs? They got subsumed by unindexible Facebook groups, subreddits, YouTube videos, and instagram.
